Writing Inspiration and Art

I consider myself one of the luckiest writers on the whole damn planet. I have worked with the extremely talented artist, Fiona Fu, for a few years now, and she never ceases to amaze me. She’s also a most generous person. And we’re both naughty and proud of it.

The other week I asked her for a sketch to help kick my twisted mind back into gear as I prepare to write some hot loving scenes. With all this plotty goodness dominating Games of Rome so far, it’s been WAY too long since I’ve penned a juicy sex scene. Nothing inspires my muse more than visuals, be they photos or (preferably) art work.

Gaius and Allerix are about to reunite. This is a HUGE moment in the story to date. Gaius has been dealing with family and political crap in Rome while Allerix has been mucking stalls and milking goats down at the Campanian villa. They are both horny as fuck. Neither trusts the other yet; trust will take time, but they have missed each other. A LOT. As I imagined the reunion scenes, one image kept smoldering in my brain. So, below is the link to my LJ journal. Scroll down and you’ll find a post for the sketch by Fiona Fu that was shamelessly requested by moi. It features Gaius and Allerix. It is very NSFW, so I’m posting it over on LJ for 18+ only viewers. Enjoy! 😀

It’s just a bunch of crap about ancient Rome, writing fiction, and naughty man on man smut, but all right! 🙂
