Sunday snippet

Draft chapter one of Book 3 is nearly done and it’s a bloody long one. It will be posted over on AO3 and the dominusfiction journal at Dreamwidth at the end of January. Remember that you don’t have to be a member of either community to read my public posts.

On to chapter two! \o/

Here’s a brief and final snippet from chapter one to whet your appetite:

~~~~~
Without warning, something soft with a cool, damp protrusion rubbed back and forth against Alle’s bare calf. He looked down only to see a blur of tan fur, black spots, and a long flicking tail slip under the table and out of view.
“What the fuck was that?” Allerix blurted out, hugging his knees to his chest. “Um, sir?”
The large cat jumped silently into Gaius’s lap and sat motionless like a speckled sphinx, its ears perked and its eyes regarding Alle with mild disdain. Or was that indifference? The Roman stroked its purring head and replied, “Not what, lad. Who. This is Pyramus, my feline associate. Don’t worry… this provincial beauty has long, sharp claws and a nasty bite but he rarely attacks my friends. Only strangers.”
Gaius nuzzled his prominent patrician nose against the cat’s serpentine neck and cooed, “But Prince Allerix isn’t a stranger, is he, Pyramus? No, he’s not. Who’s the sweetest pussy in the entire empire? Pyramus is, isn’t he? Yes, he is. Oh, yes he is.”
Have a glorious Sunday, lovelies!
    I’m dying to know if Gauis missed Allerix when He was incarcerated and if Gauis could have had sex with somebody else?
