Surprise… something?

Yes, I’m also penning a Roman vampire short story.

Also set in the Dominus universe. With a cameo by Gaius long before he meets Allerix. Sex and gore and maybe a laugh. Here’s an unedited bitty bit. 😀

~~~~~
Cocks of every size, shape, and color, bobbing and bouncing about proudly in the warm air of the camp’s baths. Sheathed, but untethered. Which tasted the sweetest? Would any of these fine Roman spears satisfy him the way Sura’s prick had fulfilled his every illicit, filthy desire.
Carbo shut his eyes and blew out a breath. Three days had past since they’d burned Sura’s mutilated corpse. Poor Marcus Valerius Sura, Carbo’s best friend and secret lover. His dear, devoted soldier from Umbria would never see Italy again.  Sura’s deep blue eyes had been ripped from their sockets by whatever beast had mauled his body bloody. Except there had been no blood. A very little left of Sura. Unfortunate, beautiful bastard.
    Long time!! Hope you’re well 🙂
    The new story looks very exciting. Combines two of my favourite genres: fantasy and historical fiction ❤
    Hope Gaius et al are doing well…
      Hey, Vitzy!!!
      Great to hear from you. Thank you. Stepping out of my comfort zone with this short m/m horror tale. Lots of research on vampire-like myths back in the Greco-Roman world. Fun stuff! This story will be in an anthology out later this year.
      The lads are well. Hope you enjoyed the first two draft chapters. Working on chappie 3. 😀
      When I can get back to the Calendar series (after Book 3 is finished), I might pen some Max and Nicomedes.
