I can’t enter because I’ve only read the shorts, not the main books, but I wanted to say how gorgeous this cover is!

I’ve already got one swimming in my 250 strong kindle TBR pool! I will be reading it soon anyway as I’ve finally got a bit of breathing space from writing/editing and I can turn my attention to fun again.

Wonderful! And thank you for the cover love. Fiona and the gang are working on the cover for Book 3. \o/

I like book one’s cover too. Every time I see it I think he looks like Paul McGann (no bad thing!).

…This is totally unfair on so many levels, and you know it. I can’t play favorites! But probably Bryaxis. Just so much sass, and such a strong character. Despite everything (I AM GLARING AT YOU RIGHT NOW AND JUST WAIT UNTIL GRL MA’AM WHEN YOU SEE HOW INTIMIDATING I AM WHEN I GLARE FROM MY WHOLE FIVE FEET, TWO INCHES), he still has spirit. I like the bitterness and the way he’s just… All of your characters are so real, but I have a special love for him. I can’t say much without giving away spoilers, but I just wish that CERTAIN THINGS could be reversed. Ahem. Okay. I’m off to go sulk now that I was reminded. πŸ˜‰

Bry has a BIG scene coming up. We have a murder to solve. He’s so damn important. As is Simon. Shit, all of them matter. I wuv you. We are going to have fun! *smooches*

Mine is Bryaxis. After I read Dominus, I expected more Bryaxis and Lucius’s lovey-dovey scenes… But well, we know what happened in book 2. πŸ™ I’ll be happy as long as he gets his own HEA with Lucius (whatever form he’s in). <3

Bryaxis is a super special. I have a “HEA” in mind for him. Bit tricky but I think it’ll work. LOL! <3

It’s tough to choose my favorite secondary character, but I adore Max and my heart was broken to tiny sad pieces for Nic.
Max’s character is so alluring because he’s trapped between two drastically different worlds. He’s trying so hard to be a proud free man, to make his former Dominus proud, but he’s still stuck in that former mindset. You can’t help but feel for him and want him to succeed.
Bry is probably next but I have a feeling he’s going to be with Luc eventually so I’m trying to not get too attached.
    I’m failing miserably.

Max! *sigh* You’ve described him so well. Max has a crazy special place in my heart. His backstory is so heartbreaking – rejected by his father for his sexuality. Similar in some ways to Allerix’s situation.

Bry will never love anyone but Lucius. That said, he’ll be with us for a long time. Gaius needs him. Oh this next draft chapter has much Gaius & Bryaxis interaction (which I adore). πŸ˜€

First before I comment about my favorite secondary character I want to ask where was the section about Max being rejected by his father for being a homosexual or you haven’t yet wrote it. Second who’s Paul McGann?

    • July 31, 2017 at 6:02 pm

For now, Max’s back story only exists in his character profile on this blog, and in my crazy brain. I expect he or someone else (Gaius?) will reveal more about Max’s childhood at some point. πŸ˜€

I probably will be in disadvantage because English wasn’t my first language but anyway my favorite secondary character was Nichomedes or Nic for short. I loved him soo much although he wasn’t for long in the narrative but he captured my heart because although he suffered very much since the day he was born and mostly during his short life, he kept a beautiful friendly heart open to share it with everyone even with a deformed dormice that he nurtured and raised with love until the day he died.

He was never presumptuous, hard, a liar , or never back stabbed no one, his ambitions were simply, never wanted to become the ” favorite”, but simply to love and being loved by Max therefore he wasn’t intimidated by the new competition , opened his arms to him with real compassion and together both them formed a real friendship based on mutual understanding of pain , longing and affection. Finally Nic is the secondary character that I missed the most more than Luc that I thought was very swallow and vain but Nic symbolized to me love in the most purest form of interpretation and selfiness!

Wow. This is a such a beautiful description of Nicomedes! Yes to everything you said. Nic = heart of gold.
