Is rapidly turning comedic before segueing into bittersweet. Guess who decided to pop by for a visit and share some left over wine at exactly the critical moment of Allerix’s wank? “I’d give you a hand, Dacian, but I see you already have two.”
Poor, frustrated Alle. 😉
Oh, and guess what?
You can get Dominus for 50% off the original price only at Smashwords until December 15th. Use the coupon code PA73E. That’s like ridiculously fricking arse cheap.
DAMN! This is the biggest archaeological news to come of out Rome in a while! A massive agricultural operation dated to the late Republican period unearthed right next to the Lateran basilica. And this is why Rome will never have an extensive underground railway system.
From Games of Rome. Warning: spoilers for Book 1, Dominus. Unedited and subject to revision or the cutting room floor, as always. NSFW 😉
Gaius Fabius’s seaside villa, Campania
He dragged the tip of his pointer finger through the sweat pooling in the crevices between his muscles; he was burning from the inside out. Allerix stared at the undersides of the wooden ceiling beams while his hunger overwhelmed any sensible thoughts or lust for revenge. He closed his eyes tight, and pictured the words drip smoothly off the man’s skilled tongue.
“Surrender to me, căţel. Obey your master.”
His pulse drumming in his ears, Allerix rolled over onto his stomach. He grabbed fistfuls of the thin bed sheets and imagined those fiery copper curls sliding like silk between his fingers. He buried his damp scruffy face into his straw-filled pillow; memories of the lavender-perfumed water of the luxurious private baths in the main house filled his nostrils. He writhed and rocked back and forth on his small lonely bed, grinding his throbbing prick into the lumpy mattress.
Allerix needed more. He needed release. He shoved his left hand underneath his abdomen and wrapped his fingers around his shaft; he pumped hard and pinched the sensitive skin below his wet slit. A desperate guttural groan burst from between his flushed lips.
I surrender, Dominus.
It wasn’t enough. He needed him—his mouth, his hands, his everything—but the bastard was hundreds of miles away in Rome honoring his murdered lover.
He lifted his hips high, spread his knees apart, and offered up his hot hole to the warm night air. Allerix growled as his hand pumped his cock, sliding his thick dark skin up and down. He reached back with his right arm as he teetered on the brink, eyes watering, his toes clenching and unfurling over and over in anticipation. He pushed two fingers through the tight ring. It sent him over the edge, groaning into the blanket.
This was where, according to the scant sources, Marcus lay dying in his bed and supposedly named Publius Aelius Hadrianus as his successor. Of course, we’re going there. As you might expect, I have my own twisted re-telling of this infamous episode. Trajan’s deathbed scene will be in Book 5, The Lion of the Lucky IV.
The first draft chapter of Games of Rome, book 2 in the Dominus series, is all spiffed up and ready for showtime. It’ll go up sometime tomorrow over at AO3, LiveJournal, and FictionPress.
THIS is the SUPER fun part of this whole process for me – sharing my work in progress chapter by chapter and chatting with/getting feedback from readers. The actually ‘making’ of the book and the necessary promo? Not so much fun. So, I’m going to enjoy this! I hope you will too. 🙂
